✨Ad Astra✨ – Week 0

Working hard or hardly working?? 😅

The first days on the bookfield are done! ✅ Despite the never-ending heat and the occasional rain ☀️🌧️, we’ve felt even more motivated to meet all the cool families out here! But….

This Sunday we celebrated our awesome manager Merili’s birthday! 🎉🎂 She’s the best, and we’re so lucky to have her leading the way!

It’s been a fun start. One elderly woman even prayed for my soul for five whole minutes 🙏 and said, “I cannot help you, but please dear Lord, let all the following people she meets be friendly and welcoming.”

Many in our group have said the people in the U.S. are incredibly friendly and helpful. 🇺🇸❤️ We’ve already had some funny and heartwarming experiences in just the first three days!

  • Berit met lots of people who knew Estonia 🇪🇪! She shared a heartwarming story: “A man saw me working at 9 p.m. and was worried if I was okay. The next day, I met him again, and he said he was so relieved to see I was doing well.”
  • Luise had a unique experience. she ran into three other door-to-door salespeople working the same area on the same day! 😲🚪
  • Karmen saw one gay couple and one lesbian couple on the same day.
  • Kert said everyone’s been super friendly. One guy even gave him a ride home! 🚗
  • Kert and Gabriel came across a family moving in, and they were the first people to knock on their door! 🏠
  • Esme met a teacher who had a cousin with the same name, from Algeria! 🇩🇿
  • MJ spoke to lots of people who, “could use a set of teeth rather than books.” 😂
  • Sander met some Americans who are big disc golf fans! 🥏 They even knew Kristiina Tattar, a top disc golfer from Estonia. 🇪🇪
  • Parvin… stepped in dog poop 💩 He met people who had been to Estonia, tried our vodka, and said it was crazy! 😆
